**NEW** Privacy Notice for Patients
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) became law on 24th May 2016. This is a single EU-wide regulation on the protection of confidential and sensitive information. It enters into force in the UK on the 25th May 2018, repealing the Data Protection Act (1998).
There may be occasions where authorised research facilities would like you to take part in innovations, research, improving services or identifying trends. We work with research companies both academic and commercial for medical research purposes and if a patient does not wish to be involved then they can opt out by letting the practice know either via reception team or emailing the reception email address B83033@email@example.com explaining that they wish to opt out.

The right care from the right person, first time
When you ring to book an appointment, you might notice our reception team will ask you for a brief outline of how we can help you.
This is because we have introduced something called Care Navigation. It means our
reception team has been trained to ensure they can help you to find the best service for your needs, so you can receive the right care more quickly. Anything you share with our team will be kept confidential.
Through this specialist training, our team will be able to direct you to the most appropriate clinician or service for your needs.
Our reception team will never offer clinical advice. Instead, this new way of working is about offering you the choice to see more appropriate professionals in our practice team or even somewhere else. If they can deal with the problem directly, it will often be quicker and means you may not need to see a GP at all.
By working this way, it helps to free-up time for GPs to care for patients with complex or
serious health conditions that can only be managed by a doctor. More importantly though, it means people are seen first by the clinician that is best placed to help you with your health needs.
Helping you to choose
The choice is always yours though. It is completely up to you if you want to share information with our reception team.
You will never be refused a GP appointment but we hope next time you contact our practice and speak with our reception team you will see the value of seeing another healthcare professional if they are able to help.

You can use our online services to book appointments and order prescriptions and view some information from your medical records
To use this system you will need to fill in a registration form. You can do this by visiting the practice and collecting the form from reception

Improving Access to General Practice with Evening, Weekend and Bank Holiday Appointments
From the 1st October 2018 Modality are working collaboratively with all GP practices across Airedale, Wharfedale & Craven to offer patients increased access to routine appointments with GP’s, Nurses and other healthcare professionals from locality based hubs.
This service provides all Airedale, Wharfedale & Craven registered patients access to pre-bookable routine appointments from 6:30pm – 8:00pm Monday to Friday, weekend appointments from 09:00am – 11:00am Saturday to Sunday. Appointments are also available between 09:00am – 11:00am on Bank Holidays. These appointments can be booked in advance Monday to Sunday or on the same day Monday to Friday for a routine medical matter, subject to availability and the reason for your appointment.
How to book
To book these appointments, please contact your registered practice by phone or in person asking to make an appointment during these times at your local hub. By booking an appointment, patients consent for the clinician based at the Local Hubs to access their full medical record so that they can offer a safe and knowledgeable service.
The service is delivered from five Extended Access Hubs:
- Farfield Group Practice, St Andrew's Surgeries, West Lane, Keighley, BD21 2LD
- Fisher Medical Centre, Millfelds, Coach Street, Skipton, BD23 1EU
- Addingham Medical Centre, 151a Main Street, Addingham, Ilkley, LS29 0LZ
Offering appointments from Monday – Thursday every week with the exception of Bank Holidays.
- Townhead Surgery, Townhead, Settle, BD24 9JA
Offering appointments on Monday to Saturday every week with the exception of the Bank Holidays.
- Silsden Health Centre, Elliott Street, Silsden, Keighley, BD20 0DG
Offering appointments on Friday, Saturday & Sunday every week and Bank Holidays.
Modality Partnership participates in medical research projects vital in helping to extend the frontiers of medical science and knowledge. Most of the projects we work on are connected to therapeutic interventions.
We are therefore pleased to give suitable patients the opportunity to participate in relevant studies many of which involve diagnostic tests and treatments which would not otherwise be routinely available.
